The American Music Awards (aka AMAs) were held on the night of October 9, 2018 at 8:00 PM (PDT) at Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles. The show was aired live on ABC.

As the name suggests, the AMAs is an awards show to felicitate musicians and artists for their outstanding achievement in the field of music. Unlike Grammy’s where the members of The Recording Academy vote for their peers, AMA winners are selected by the audience and record buyers who vote for their favorite artist on the AMAs website. The nominations are based on statistical background of the song like sales, airplay, activity on social networks and video viewing. Voila! Consumer is the king!
